Panera's Chipotle Chicken Sandwich, is it Worth It?
Sometimes you have to treat yourself
In an effort to settle with the results of the Presidential Election, I decided to get out of the house, and treat myself to some food while getting some writing adnd work out of the way.
with the mission to try something a little different, Panera was my destination of choice. I went with their Pick 2, pairing a Chipotle Chicken Avocado panini with their creamy white cheddar mac and cheese.
Panera's mac and cheese is always a joy to eat—those oversized pasta shells smothered in white cheddar are a real comfort. However, the portion size felt disappointing for the price; I’d expect it to be about $5-6 less for what you get served.
As for the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt, the first bite was nice, I was instantly met with the chipotle sauce, which coated the bread and chicken perfectly, but as soon as I met the tangy tomatoes, it overwhelmed the flavor. The avocadothat’s in the dish also lacked any taste, failing to complement the sandwich. Overall, I'd give the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt a 3/10.
