Teaspoon, the Best Boba Shop in Evans, Ga?
Don’t talk to me until I had my boba💅
Today, I decided to work outside of the house —yet again!— and treat myself to some delicious boba at Teaspoon. The small but cozy tea shop is now featuring it’s custom fall drinks, so I tried their Ube Astra tea with Crème Brulée cream foam and honey pearls at medium sweetness.
The drink was $8—pricey, especially for a chain restaurant, but the taste is very unique compaired to what we are used to within the CSRA. What I enjoy about Teaspoon’s presence is that, eventhough it is a chain, it exposes the community to diverse cultures through food. Ube is a little hard to describe it’s taste, however my interpretation is that it taste like a mild hazelnut, though it’s a colorful sweet potatoe. The Crème Brulée cream foam pairs perfectly with the drink, cutting the nutty flavor and adding a sweet caramalized flavor to the drink.
I also paired my boba with a chunky double-chocolate brownie for $4. The brownie was neatly packaged in a semi-medium square. When I took a bite, I was pleasantly surprised by the brownie’s flavor. The pastry wasn’t overly sweet, but the chocolate flavor definitely packs a punch in a comfortable way. Trust me when I say, you will not miss a chocolate chunk even with your last bite! Despite my satisfaction, I cannot justify the price of this brownie, it feels a little outrageous to fork over $4 for a brownie this size. If you ask me, I would only purchase this item if it was more reasonably priced —around $3.
Overall, Teaspoon is a fun spot for a treat despite the high prices—after all, it’s nice to indulge once in a while!
